Who this trip is for

Roatan Rewards Divers of Every Level.

All experience levels

A great trip whatever your logbook looks like

Roatan pairs shallow, easy reef with dramatic walls, so newer and seasoned divers both find their pace. Anthony's Key runs a buoyancy workshop and well-organized boat diving, and our team helps everyone get comfortable in the water.

Resort diver

Everything in one place

Anthony's Key is a full-service island resort. Three meals a day, three boat dives a day, night dives, shore diving, and resort activities are all on-site, so you spend your week diving rather than arranging it.

Family and non-diver friendly

More than just diving

Between dives there is a fresh-water pool, kayaks and paddle boards, a beach day at Maya Key, and Island Fiesta night. Roatan is an easy trip to share with a partner or family who want more than dive boats.

What to expect

Walls, Reef, and a Classic Caribbean Dive Resort.

Roatan's diving is famous for its walls: coral-covered dropoffs that start close to shore and fall into deep blue, alongside shallow reef, swim-throughs, and the occasional wreck. The island sits at the southern end of the same barrier reef system as Belize, and the marine life is dense and easy to reach. Most dives are a short boat ride from the dock.

Anthony's Key Resort has run diving on Roatan for decades. The package includes three single-tank boat dives per day across six days, two night dives during the week, and shore diving during shop hours. A buoyancy control workshop is included, and the full American meal plan covers three meals a day so nothing about the week is left to chance.

Unique dive opportunities

Dolphins, Maya Key, and Island Nights.

Anthony's Key is known for its dolphin program, and a beach day excursion to nearby Maya Key is part of the reservation. Between diving, the resort's Island Fiesta night and welcome island cocktail give the week a genuinely social, island feel that is hard to find at a pure dive operation.

For divers who want to add to their week, Nitrox is available at the resort for about $140 plus tax, and personal dive equipment can be rented on-site. Kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and a fresh-water pool fill the surface intervals.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Roatan suitable for newer divers?

Yes. Roatan offers easy shallow reef alongside its famous walls, and Anthony's Key runs a buoyancy control workshop and well-organized boat diving. Open Water certification is required, and the island is a comfortable international dive destination.

What is the flight gateway for Roatan?

Roatan's airport code is RTB (Juan Manuel Galvez International). Most US routes connect through Houston, Miami, or Atlanta. Airfare to RTB is not included, and the resort's round-trip transfers cover the airport-to-resort legs. Book flights as soon as your spot is confirmed.

Is Nitrox included?

Nitrox is not included in the reservation. It is available at the resort for about $140 plus tax for the week for certified Enriched Air divers. Tom's offers the Nitrox course in Austin for anyone building towards the trip.

Should I do any courses before this trip?

Perfect Buoyancy and Nitrox are the most useful before Roatan. Strong buoyancy protects the walls and reef and makes three-dive days easier, and Nitrox extends your bottom time across repetitive dives. Perfect Buoyancy →

Is dive and travel insurance required?

Dive accident insurance and trip cancellation insurance are strongly recommended for all Tom's trips, and especially for international travel. Neither is included in the package price.  Typical travel insurance policies include protection from unforseen medical or weather events.
